Allen Online as an Internet gateway for information about Allen, Texas. It is designed to assist Allen residents and anyone else seeking information about our wonderful city.

How it all started.
Allen Online was born out of the need to learn about new business, new services and new community happenings in our growing city. It was also designed to provide a gathering place for residents to interact with each other to discuss issues of mutual interest. Today Allen Online has truly grown into a comprehensive community web site, as most of our features have been a result of feedback from Allen residents.

What we are today.
As you browse through Allen Online, you will find a wide variety of resources about our community, city, schools and the neighborhoods where we live. Pages upon pages and 100's of links provide local information. There are special features such as a shopping and business guide, discount coupons from Allen merchants, an Ask the Allen Expert forum where residents help other residents, community announcements, resident movie and restaurant reviews, classified ads and Allen Talk. Allen Talk is our neighborhood forum where over 10,000's posted messages, and comments are posted by Allen residents each year. Best of all, Allen Online is designed to be easy to use.

Over the years Allen Online has appeared in stories and articles about Community Web Sites in the Allen American and the Dallas Morning News and our neighborhood opinion polls have appeared in the Plano and Collin County Morning News. Allen Online has also received numerous awards including the Hometown USA Community Web Site Award.

Allen Online is privately owned by long standing Allen residents and we are not part of the City of Allen governmental structure.
