T O P I C     R E V I E W MarkH Is there a local radio station that broadcasts the high school football games? richardb Usually on Friday's during the season, on page 2 of the Morning News Sports section, it list the games which are to be broadcast that night. There isn't any local station that exclusively carries the Allen game. Hopefully, that will change next year. MarkH Thanks, I'll remember about looking in the Morning News. But wouldn't you think that Allen was big enough to have a radio station, at least from the high school? richardb Now that I think about it, KHYI in downtown Allen might carry the games. I have season tickets and am always at the games, so I never have a chance to listen to the radio broadcast. dancindiva2 hi, i'm a highschooler and the radio station that we have up at the school broadcasts the football games in season. if you have channel 17, on tv, thats how we broadcast the games live, with halftime news and everything, so technically its not on your radio. its really cool, i was one of the dj's last year. civicminded There are some examples of Radio Stations operated by young people. Some experience may be found in Explorer, Scouting, or Venturing groups. But also in High Schools. Mesquite has one, and has been "on" for years. Related to any local coverage, I don't know though it looks like it's been answered well RayW KHYI does broadcast high school football. I'm not sure what teams because I turn to another station as soon as football comes on. Call them and ask (972)633-0953
