c3lost Has anyone's children played this? My sons played in an instructional league last year. They were sad that we are moving to Allen before basketball starts. My boys are interested and wondered if anyone had any input. I thought it would be a good way to get them involved right off the bat. richardb I have five sons and three have played ASA basketball, although it's been a couple of years since the last one was young enough. The other son was too old when we moved here and the youngest (16) is enfacuated with ice hockey. The biggest problem ASA seems to have is enough parents volunteering to help coach. Football and baseball don't seem to have that problem, but basketball does. The ASA office is in the shopping center on the northeast corner of Bethany and Greenville. That would be the place to inquire about signing up and league dates. Allenite ASA is also a wonderful mechanism for parents to get to know each other. Most of my long term friends have been made in the bleachers of a baseball or football game! ASA's success depends upon the parents, so sign them up, and get involved. Hope you have as enriching an experience as I did. c3lost Thanks. My husband did sign them up. It is nice to know you made a lot of friends there. I was thinking about them, but they have school and I am a stay at home Mom. It will be a nice way for my husband and I to meet some new friends. They are very excited. Thanks again for the input. I have already met a lot of nice people through this site!
