MauriceI know this forum is more for youth sports but what sports are available for adults in Allen?
vrsTry the City of Allen parks and rec department. They have slow pitch softball, basketball, and indoor volleyball.

If you are interested in a Master's swim team, call the City of Plano Parks and Rec. and ask about the Plano Wetcats. If you want bowling, call Allen Bowl for League info.

Those are all the one I know about.

goallenIf you are interested in adult baseball, there's a very well established league in Dallas, known as North Texas MSBL (Men's Senior Baseball League). See www.northtexasmsbl.com for more information. Also Plano Sports Authority offers men's baseball as well, www.psaplano.org.

The Dallas Stars also host a variety of adult hockey leagues throughout the metroplex, some of which play in Plano and Frisco.

MauriceNow hockey is something I'd be interested in. Not on the ice though, I had to give up anything related to hockey on the ice a few years ago due to an ankle injury. Inline or street hockey would be interesting though, is hockey that big in the area?

I also saw they have fencing as one of the rec programs for adults, that's something I've always wanted to try too. Not bad at all!

M&M;Have you tried inline skating? We are a group of adult skaters (all skill levels) from the northern suburbs who get together for fun, fitness and competition speedskating. We meet at the Allen water tower on weekends (west of 75 near the soccer fields), at CCCC (Spring Creek campus), skate the Chisholm, Bluebonnet and Preston Ridge trails in Plano and the trails in Allen. We are all members of the Dallas Pegasus Flyers Inline Skate Club. For more information on the club, check out the website at:
http://www.pegasusflyers.org/

For current weekly skates and other events, subscribe to the Pegasus Flyers email list on the website. For inline lessons (all levels), contact Gordon Sanders at [email protected]

MauriceThanks M&M;, I'll be sure to look into your site. I've tried inline skating once, it threw me off a lot because I tried carrying over some bad habits like stopping. lol It's been several years since I last skated but I'll have to get into it again once I move down there.
boredgirl75002Very upset - Allen has Adults MENS Basketball but not Womens! Don't know why.
bbinallen52402Whats available for womens softball?
TrueWhat about Men's softball? I know the leage has started, but myself and a few buddies of mine would like to get on an existing team. Any openings out there?
TrueEven a coed team would be OK. Anyone?
AgoodMessI apolize if the reply is off the topic, but, true, if u find an extra place for someone to play, please let me know. Thank you, M.
TrueNot a problem! I actually have quite a few friends interested. If you and a few friends are interested, maybe WE could put together a team! Just a thought. I let you know if I find a few spots!
