VGotway My 5 year old has asked us to teach her how to play tennis. Since I don't know a tennis racquet from a racquetball racquet, I don't think I can do this on my own. Does anyone know where I can sign her up for lessons? We are members of any country clubs so I don't think we can go that route. I would be open to private lessons if the price is affordable. Daisy Check with the Allen School Camps. They offer tennis lessons for even the little ones. We did this a couple of years ago and my kids loved it. You could also go up to the tennis center which is right next to the High School and talk to them in person. They are the ones that do the lessons. Hope this helps. 5NORRIS This past year at Norton we received a flyer about tennis lessons and I signed up both of my boys (7 & 5). They were a really good price and we enjoyed them. Right now my son is taking more lessons through the Parks & Recreation. Both lessons were held at the AHS & used the same group of coaches. The summer deal however was a REAL deal. They had poor sign-ups so they got a grant and ran the lessons for $10.00 a week. You might still be able to get in on that deal. Call Joe Farmer and they could tell you. Tomorrow I will get a phone number for the tennis center so you could call them if you are wanting to wait until the school year. Good Luck! 5NORRIS The direct phone number to the Eagle Tennis Center at AHS is 214-495-6710. The should be able to answer any questions for you. Good luck! VGotway Thanks for the info! I am trying to gauge her interest before I sign her up. I'm all for active kids, but with two so close in age the fees get pretty pricey! If she really wants to though, I will definitely sign her up.
