[This message has been edited by starrlac (edited April 29, 2001).]Stacy F Can anyone recommend a good daycare in Allen that takes infants & schoolers? I would like some feedback from parents that use daycares in Allen. I would like a daycare that has a good summer program for my 6 yr old daughter. Barry_Hubris I heard that the Country Day School is recommended by others but I also heard it was going to be ripped down by the city when they start expanding the roads on the east side. starrlac Country Day School is primarily, if not only, a preschool. I know they don't take infants, and I think your daughter would be too old. I've also heard it is a good preschool, though. My neighbor's daughter goes there. The only daycare I used in Allen that is still open is Twin Oaks, and I liked it, but if I remember right, you tried it there didn't you? Things can certainly change quickly at daycares and it's been about a year since my son was there. Children's Lighthouse looks like they have a good program, but I don't have any experience with them. Good luck! cc My child who is 4 years of age will start Children's Lighthouse next Monday. I looked at several daycares in Allen and was starting to get very discouraged until I went to Lighthouse. They have a Christian value based program and lots of space. The rooms are a very large size and very clean. Twin Oaks had an excellent program as well, but the rooms seemed so small to me. Lots of luck to you! gabereed we are moving to allen at the end of may and my wife, who is a stay at home mom, is interested in keeping children at our new house.
