T O P I C     R E V I E W livininallen Hey! I'm new to the message board! I have a question;Does anyone have a good primary care (family practice) doctor? I have a 12 year old daughter who feels really out of place at the pediatrician's office now. She is ill and I need to find a good fit for her. Any suggestions would be so appreciated. Thanks! VGotway Dr. Linda Parker is wonderful! She's near the post office. Her # is 972.727.8000. Both my mom and I use her. I will take my daughters to her too when they are old enough to not need a pediatrician. campbellfam I have heard good things about 2 Doctors at the Presbyterian Hospital here in Allen. Dr Bourchard (sp?) and Dr Ennis. I know that Dr Ennis's phone number is 927-747-4747 and that some in his office specialize in children but all are GP's so the whole family can go. LauraW I second cambellfan's recommendation. We see Dr. Nelson Simmons in that office. I liked him so much, I moved both my sons from their pediatrician to him so now the whole family goes! I also hear wonderful things about Dr. Bouchard all the time. He is also at the Allen Presby. We still use a pediatrician for our boys, but have seen children going in to see him and feel he would be good with kids too. jaw My husband and I also use Dr. Kellum and have been very happy. I believe he is with Dr. Bourchard and they are both with Family Healthcare Assoc. allensince1979 After going to the same Dr. for 20 years we had to switch because of insurance. Dr Edwards and Ennis were highly recomended to us so I gave them a try. Everyone in their office is great. The best thing about this Dr's office is that you can get in and out fast. SeanKelly I've had a few visits with Dr Nelson X. Simmons myself. He's personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and about my age, too, so he seems to really appreciate my concerns. He used to be in Irving and he is now in Frisco. sassybear My husband and I both see Dr. Burchard and I have seen Dr. Simmons once. Both are attentive and helpful, and I never have to wait too long to see anyone.
