T O P I C     R E V I E W Webmaster The City of Allen is celebrating its 50th birthday in conjunction with the grand opening of Celebration Park and Allen USA on June 28th from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. To make this event a success, we are in need of volunteers. The volunteers would be assigned to 5 areas You can decide the length of your shift: Greeters - shifts from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Children�s Art Tent - shifts from 4:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. Children�s Performance Stage - shifts from 4:45 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Birthday Party - (assisting with the COA�s b-day celebration) - shifts from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Main Performance Stage security (great opportunity to be up close & personal with LoverBoy and J.T. from Kool & The Gang) - shifts from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. You ask? What�s in it for me? I am glad that you asked! You will get the following: An Allen USA �volunteer� t-shirt; A volunteer parking pass (WOW�you can actually park across the street from the event for FREE J); and Free food and drinks in the Community Volunteers Tent. It sounds like it is going to be pretty cool. Just call Shante and she will put you on her list. They are having a luncheon for the volunteers this Tuesday at Celebration Park from 11:30 - 1:00. They're giving out info packets and providing hot dogs and drinks. You can still volunteer even if you can't make it to the luncheon, you just pick up your info packet at Joe Farmer.
