AllengramNow that we are settled in Stockton, CA. And all our 5 kids are out of the house, and all exchange students are back in their countries. We are truely empty-nesters.

I was wondering if anyone is also experiencing this kind of, Help, NOW what do I do?

I know a JOB would be on the list, but since I have not worked in 24 years?????

I do play golf, once a week. And vounteer at our local shelter. But would appreciate any other ideas.

Thanks.

civicmindedHello my friend Would you consider taking some type of CERT training, and help your "new" community in times of need? Gee, you might end up taking a leadership role in that area. California has had these types of citizen groups for many years.

Unrelated but important to me, I may write you sometime about your foreign student experience? I am getting more involved with the International Scouting efforts.

Happy decals to you (remember?).

AllengramYes, Civic I remember the decals. Unfortunatly they are very faded with this CA sunshine lol...

I know have "My Daughter is in the Coast Guard" and "My son is in the Coast guard" stickers on my SUV...

Email me anytime about exchange students. I just dropped mine off at Sacramento airport at 3am this morning and she just called me from Minneapolis LOL..

Take care I am comming to Allen tomorrow for a week so wont be online.. Maybe I will see ya around town..

civicmindedWell...I'll be in my new truck by tomorrow, but it's the same green as my Tacoma is, haha.

Just saw my "sis-in-law" this week, after her return from Iraq. She had to tell me of a funny story, about a Texas Marine. But I'll save that for anyone wanting to hear about the "crazy Gunny", haha.
