Tonite was the best yet! Gil Castillo is a Desert Strom Vet, while he was there he got a pen pal that has become a dear family friend, Jennifer Olk. She drove from Iowa to attend the Cottonwood Showcase. Gill introduced her and gave her a dozen red roses it was so nice.
The talent is unbelievable! Gil & Lori work so hard to present Allen with the best singers around. It is refreshing to go to a show with your grandkids and know you don't have to worry about what they may hear or see.
Quick recap:
Parish Wilson is the sweetest girl with a soft speaking voice but when she starts to sing look out cause she'll raise the roof. Leanne watch out cause Parish is on her way.
Casey Stone is a hunk! He'll be appearing at Johnny High in Arlington July 31st for "Hunk Night" (I kid you not) But his looks are nothing compared to his voice, Heaven, that's how you feel when you hear him.
Joseph Brakeen TALL and his voice is TALLER. I'm sure that it is so the angels can hear him better.
AlLeigh & Kristina Castillo were as always great solos but when they sang a duet it was more than twice as good,.
Trey Castillo will win you over with his smile but bowl you over with his voice. He has showmanship, and makes the girls smile too.
David Harrison Let's you know why he won the Lorretta Lynn Award. He has talent and uses every bit.
Butch Carie is a major recording artist in Europe I think it's time the USA hears how good he is. He can sing a move and he makes you feel the love songs deep in your bones.
Elisabeth Teel was the featured artist this month. Gil said she sings gospel I'd love to hear it. I rarely ever hear someone sing Unchained Melody and hit each note as purely as she did tonite.
I am so glad that the Castillo family has brought such wonderful talent to Allen. I think we need to suppport our local talent and come listen to the next show July 9th at 8:00 at the Life Fellowship Church, 600 S. Jupiter. The price is right and the entertainment value is priceless.Gil&LauraCastillo; Thanks Ms. Alyce! Tonight was a lot of fun for us too! We have been enjoying bringing the city of Allen the many gifted artists throughout the area and beyond! Artists of all walks of life! We can't wait to see you in July as well.
