Moved to Allen almost 1 year ago, and ever since I've been here, every time it rains, the power either flickers or completley goes out (lately especially). Can anyone explain why this happens? Is the community growing too large too fast? Thanks in advance. We live in the same area and have had the same experience over the past 3 years. I have lived down the street at Malone and Harvest Run for 12 years, I can tell you that the outages aren't anywhere near as bad as they used to be. Back in the early 90's if the wind blew the power went out...and stayed out for hours. So it is much better than it used to be.whackypole Greetings: whackypole Sorry, I forgot to mention that I live near the intersection of Main & Malone. HockeyFamily It's a bad flux capacitor. jenniferd I can't count the number of times the electricity would go out at my house, not a could in the sky, would just come home to flashing clocks. Our home was located in the general area of Malone and Bethany. MsAlyce I can't swear that this is totally accurate but here goes: The construction downtown and near Station park is partly utilies. I have been told that the electricity won't be going off so often when they finally get it all done. (new transfromers, under ground lines)
I hope that is soon, but I also was told that the library and civic center is at least 4 months behind. I pray that doesn't include Allen Dr. It's really hard to get in and out of work sometimes, mostly due to the drivers going through our parking lot.ninjaman whackypole,
