Mix it in with a shovel, digging fork or tiller if you have one.denisew If any of you out there enjoy fresh lettuce, sugar snap peas, broccoli, cabbage, carrots, radishes, etc.;now is the time to plant. You can get transplants for things like broccoli, lettuce and cabbage at the nurseries. Lettuce can also be started from seed very easily and is cheaper this way rather than buying transplants. I am still harvesting carrots and lettuce that I planted last fall and will clear this out soon to make room for more.
