Seacrest was very harsh with Chris. I am shocked he was voted off when Katherine had such a bad night. Even she was shocked when it was Chris and not her that was voted off. Maybe Seacrest was running out of time or was told to quit drawing things out. He sure had a good zinger on Simon (real world). Chris' fans are sure to vote for Elliot now. To get back at Katherine and to make sure the next favorite to win loses (Taylor). Elliot has got it now.

I think you give the "voters" too much credit for spite- I think history has shown that typically the best one wins. Chris was good but I found many of his performances boring, no real passion.

I don't know about what you wrote, but I do know that they put the females at a disadvantage making them sing mostly male songs. I am a male, so I am not a complaining female.

There is actually a web-site dedicated to persuading voters to vote for the worst contestant, so spite and anger could be motivators. Katherine is so gone. She has a beautful voice but if she can't remember the lyrics to two songs, she will never make it next week singing three songs.

I agree there are alot of male songs to sing. I hadn't thought about that. Elvis, Barry, Rod Stewart, Queen. This is my first season so I had no idea they did all these theme weeks. Strange.

The votefortheworst web site is now recommending people vote for Taylor. I'm sure they will be quite gleeful if he actually wins. I'm not a big Kathryn fan but I do think they put her at somewhat of a disadvantage with the Elvis theme (Simon even said so). Elvis songs are just more suited to a deep male voice. Although it wasn't the theme's fault that she forgot the lyrics.

I'm missing American Idol on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings.
