Any King fans? I am about half way done with book 7. It's funny how King's characters sneak their way into your heart. You don't even reallize it is happening until you complete the book and have this empty feeling because you miss your old "friends".
If anyone is a King fan and hasn't read The Dark Tower, you are really missing out. I think some who don't especially like King could really enjoy this one too. It seems to be easier to read than some of his other books.
I never was much of a reader when I was young and frankly, I have a hard time getting through some of King's books (still haven't been able to force myself through the Stand), but have devoured the Dark Tower books on an average of 3 days per book.

Wow, I haven�t read those in years, but now that you mention it, it was also one of my favorite kings books. So I just did a google search on the dark tower and came a cross the dark tower website http://www.stephenking.com/DarkTower. I didn�t even know that he had written additional books in the series! Thanks for the post.

You might want to reread the first ones before you dive in to the newer ones. My husband read them as they came out and then picked up the newer ones without rereading. I had never read any and then read them all like it was one book. There was a lot that my husband didn't remember and I had to fill him in. This epic really proves Stephen King's tallent IMHO.
