Does anyone know how a retired guy would go about getting called to be a substitute teacher at Allen High school?

One would contact the HR department in Central Office for AISD.

vrs offers the best avenue for your question. I wanted to do this at one time, on my off Duty days. I don't have enough college hours (yet) to do this. Gee, and it's already time to start classes again, haha.

bro bob, if you intend to apply with the AISD or any other employer you should be aware that MANY employers now search local web bulletin boards as well as web sites such as Myspace and Facebook for posts, blogs, and personal web pages deemed offensive to others. I don't know if AISD does this yet but I'm sure there will be some version of it within a few years. Your posts on AllenOnline may not be as anonymous as you think they are, so you may want to be more careful about spouting off with bigoted, misogynistic comments in the future.

Because you are new to this board you might not find some previous posts that do not reflect kindly on bro bob. rtdb was referencing those posts.
