The Belmont...We could'nt believe we were in Allen
   #13640 - 12/22/04 10:54 PM

Very impressed! I took my lovely Wife to the Belmont for her birthday. It was our first time there. I took flowers earlier in the day to place on the table before we arrived and they did it! Valet parking (no charge), white table cloths, super service, a house rich in Allen history, a very talented guitar player singing Christmas songs and other requests at each table, I can go on and on.... We were soooo impressed! We could'nt believe we were in Allen! The food was great and no more costly than a visit to Red Lobster. We cannot wait to go back and take some of our favorite neighbors to our new "secret spot".

Hmmm, sounds nice. I've noticed it as I drive by, and knew the house for years before that. What kind of food is it...I don't recall what I've seen about it?

Thanks Fence, I just looked. Food looks interesting though it's not my type of atmosphere, but they should do well I think. I like to see old homes find a new life.

We did the Sunday Brunch and it was awesome!
Delicious food, even better selection and all very reasonably priced.
We're bringing the family for easter.
2 thumbs up for sure.

Finally! No longer do we have to drive south for quality food at very reasonable prices. I've done both lunch & dinner, and both times we were very pleased. Friendly staff is always a plus. The owner says parking is in the works. Salon what?

Last Friday, I took my wife to dinner for our anniversary at The Belmont. It was WONDERFUL. The server was really attentive, kind and fun. The food was utterly delicious! The bisque was heavenly, as was the blackened salmon special and the bread pudding. We appreciated the chef coming to our table to check on us and to wish us a pleasant evening. Overall, the experience was a delight and made for the perfect night. It is so great to have such an establishment like the Belmont in our city. Please everyone go and enjoy like we did!
Bon Appetit!

I had family in town last weekend and took them here. Wow! I was impressed! The food was awesome! The primerib with glaze would even make Sean proud. I brought in my 15% off coupon from this site (thanks webmaster!!!). Go and eat there and support our fanciest restaurant in town! I hope it's a fixture in Allen for years to come.

Well, it appears that the restaurant critics for the Frisco Style Magazine agree with me about the Belmont.
A well deserved review for a wonderful place.
Check it out in this months edition.
You can thank me later!

finally got a chance to go there! We went on Friday night and sat on the patio with Nathan Johnson playing live music there. I have to say, I was very impressed. The service was a little slow, but we weren't in any hurry. The music was great, the food was awesome! I highly recommend!!

If you are into live music, Nathan is a great performer...with a great sense of humor to boot! He plays acoustic, but also has a little drum machine when playing songs with more beats. He'll be there the next two weekends (Fri/Sat) .. so go check him out!

We made our New Year's reservations today.
They said they are filling up fast.
You'd better make yours soon.
Music, champagne, party favors & wonderful food.
Now that's the way to ring in the New Year!

Rockne, thanks for the reminder.
We made our New Year's reservations today.
How nice to have such a wonderful establishment in our backyard to celebrate 2006.
The owner said they will have several delicious specials in addition to the regular dinner menu available, live music, Nathan Johnson I believe, champagne & party favors at midnight.
I think I talked him into black-eyed peas as well!
And it's close to home.
Can't wait.
Thanks again.

We had early dinner reservations this evening and I can't say enough good things about it! The atmosphere was quaint, quiet and unique. The service was personal and friendly. I can also honestly say that the food was the best that I've had - even compared to steakhouses such as Chamberlains. I had their lobster bisque soup and 10 oz ribeye and it was amazing. I prefer my steak to be well-done and even with it being well-done, it was moist, tender and flavorful. Definitely a thumbs up!

My husband and I went on a date to the Belmont House. We were very disappointed. We both had the Soup of the Day which was Smoked Cheddar. It was very good. After we finished the soup it took over 30 minutes to receive our entree. I ordered the Pene primavera. It said it was a cream sauce with a touch of tomatoe. It tasted like tomatoe juice and no cream. My husband had the 10 oz Rib Eye. He was surprised at first at the size because he thought it looked really big. But most of it was fat and grissle.

The people at the next table ordered the Smoked Chedder Soup and received the Lobster Bisque without a soup spoon. The other people at that table ordered the salad but didn't get salad dressing.

We were also surprised that they included the tip in our bill. I understand when there is a large group but for only two people they included the tip?

We felt the prices were expensive. $29.99 for a Filet Mignon. I would rather go to Kirby's and enjoy the pepper steak. We may go back to enjoy the band and some drinks but we won't be back for dinner.

SAHM, I was surprised to have read about your experience, and as a loyal customer, I called and spoke with the owner, and directed him to read your comments.
Bottom line, that waitress no longer works there. She was a temporary fill-in, for obvious reasons.
Food wise, quality for price is one of the things I appreciate about The Belmont. Additionally, if I ever had any problem, they were more than happy to make it right, whatever it took.
We need quality places like this in our town.
I hope you'll continue to support them, and if ever you have a problem, let them know. They can't fix it if they don't know there is a problem. Venting your dissatisfaction here is fine, but approaching them yourself will better serve everyone.

Well I can tell you I tried to get reservations for Valentines day, I called them about a week ago (Feb 2nd) and was told that all their 7 and 7:30pm reservations were full.

I asked about getting a 6:30pm and the VERY young and unsure sounding girl on the other end of the phone paused and finally said ok.

Only to call me back a day later to tell me she had made a mistake, that they were full then too and that the only time they could squeze us in would be at either 5:00pm or after 8:00pm.

She said she was sorry, I said so was I because neither of those would work.

I can't speak for what their business is like the rest of the week, but on valentines day it appears that it will be booming.
