If your spring blooming bush such as bridal wreath Spiraea or Indian Hawthorne Raphiolepis indica is all bloomed out, now is the time to give it a trim if it is needed. This will keep your shrubs shaped nicely if that is how you like them and removes the spent blooms. If you wait until later in the season to trim these shrubs, you run the risk of removing the flower buds for next spring.
