Anniversary Ideas
      #17568 - 06/14/05 12:03 AM

I was wondering if any of you could suggest a great restaurant to celebrate a ten year anniversary. We like all kinds of food especially steak and shrimp. I was thinking of something romantic, quiet, cloth napkins....you know what i mean. Maybe some ideas of your own ten year anniversary, I want this to be special. Thanks ! v

The restaurant I would recommend is not an advertizer so I sent you a private message.

Congratulations!!!!!!!

I'm not too keen on these things, but a unique one came to mind, that you might always remember?? If the Reunion Tower still has one, that would be groovy-cool-daddyo! My first such experience was in the Tower in San Antonio....long ago, in a galaxy...well you know

You have many special steakhouses to choose from...del friscos, bob's, III forks, Sullivans, Ruth's Chris, Kirby's etc...however, I'd go to Smith and Wollensky...in my opinion, the best steaks and service of them all...with a price tag to match.

I 2nd the motion on Smith & Wollensky. It is a New York steahouse where everything is rolled out on carts, there are no bus boys clanging dirty dishes around. Request a booth w/a curtain!

I don't know how far you want to go but for our anniversary a few years back we went to a bed-n-breakfast near Sulpher Springs about 2 hours north of here. They have an excellant restaurant downstairs and the food was to die for. I told them ahead of time that we wanted dinner and they cooked what we wanted. I had a terrific salmon and my husband had rack of lamb. Good, nice, quiet, and really romantic weekend. I could send the name of the place if you need it. Happy anniversary by the way. Our 10 year anniversary is also coming up this October and I want to do something big. We never got a honeymoon the first time around so a cruise would be nice. Gotta find a way to change his mind.

Cafe Capri in Addison. Harpist, candles, cloth napikins, excellant staff, excellant food. Very romantic.
