I just wanted to let everyone know Ive had a GREAT experience with pizza hut. I called to place an order and I was taken care of quickly and the lady on the phone was actually educated. It was the easiest pizza ordering I have done in a long time. The delivery time was going to be 1 hour. But, she said if I came to pick it up she would give me 2 dollars off!
This all sounds like no big deal I know. But, I've tried to order from dominoes several times and ever since they went to that national call center ordering system crap it has made ordering a simple pizza brain surgury. One time I called dominoes and they put me on hold for 15 min because they had to call the store and confirm they had chicken!!
PIZZA HUT YOU HAVE MY VOTE!!

Pizza Hut has the national call center also. I placed an order last Friday, and when the driver arrived I checked my order which ended up being incorrect, he said there was nothing he could do, that I needed to call the store. I called the store (at least what I thought was the store)and was then transferred to a customer service line, where I held for 20 minutes and was then told they'd have another order out to me in an hour or credit my account for a portion of our bill. We ended up opting for a credit and picked the toppings off. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly, but I wasn't a fan of the 20 minute wait for a customer service representative. Oh, and I did tip my delivery driver 20%.

I had the exact same experience with Pizza Hut - not good! Except I was trying to use a credit from LAST time they messed up our order, only the lady in the national call center could not handle that. I was transferred to the store (on hold 15 minutes) only to be told that there was no credit on my account. When I asked to speak to a manager to clarify I was put on hold again and was disconnected. Order Dominoes - had no problem and had wonderful pizza in 35 minutes!

well they sure did fool me!! I apoligize I thought I had actually called the store and placed my order. I hate how all the chains have gone too call centers. I would think it would cost MORE money in mess ups then it would be any good.

I order from the Pizza Hut on Greenville/Bethany quite often (more than I care to admit ) and I've never spoken to a call center. I can hear the sounds of the kitchen in the background. I never have the pizza delivered (I pick up) and almost always deal with the person I spoke with when I go in to get the pizza. Now, watch the next time I call in an order, I'll be speaking to someone in India  !

Dominos is now a call center too. We still order from them, but we always pick up rather than pay a delivery fee and tip.
You can order from someone local if you go with Mr. Jim's. They are pretty close for us to drive to as well and I don't have to go through a call center.

Plus, Mr. Jim's is way better than Pizza Hut, Domino's or Papa John's, IMHO! They just don't have all the specials like Stuffed Crust or whatever.

Well, uhh...I just had something, and of course they got my order wrong, haha (what else is new?). But it wasn't pizza, so I'll save it for a leftover forum sometime.

I got tired of Pizza Hut & Dominoes getting my order wrong. Plus, both of their pizzas are greasy (at least any pizza with meat on it). When we're in the mood for pizza, we go to the Italian Villa - in my opinion, the best pizza in Allen.

Try Crazy Tomato ... they're even better. They are very friendly, honest about delivery times (although it's usually quicker than they quote), and the pizza is darn good. I won't order from anywhere else after trying them.
