Last year I bought some coreopsis from you at the Allen Garden Club sale. I planted it and haven't given it a second thought. Until this weekend when I really looked at the backyard! Oh my gosh! It grew in so thick and tall...it is so pretty!
Thank you for encouraging me to spread my wings and get away from the usual begonia...which I hate...so I am glad to see the coreopsis blooming and looking so great!

I am so glad it is growing well for you. I have it in my front yard and the backyard. I love the yellow color because it reminds me of happiness and sunshine. If you let it go to seed - when the seed heads turn black - sprinkle it where you want more to grow. And, if you have too much, just dig the seedlings up and pass them along to a friend next spring.
I also wanted to let everyone know that there are a lot of really great plants they can use instead of begonias. Begonias add color, but you're limited to red, pink or white. Check out the list of Texas Superstar plants that are proven to perform well here in Texas.
