Good Grief by Lolly Winston.
When my husband passed away in May several people gave me names of books on grieving that they thought would help me through the process. I tried to read a couple of them, but they just didn't interest me. It was by accident (divine intervention?) that I came upon the novel Good Grief by Lolly Winston. The book is about a young widow who has lost her husband to cancer after a fairly brief marriage. This book helped me more than anything else I have read. It helped me because it made me cry buckets as I went through the stages of grief with Sophie Stanton. It helped me as I laughed my head off as she found herself in some interesting situations (of course I have a strange sense of humor). It helped me because it showed me that there would be a day when the grief wouldn't hurt so much.
Whether you are grieving for a loved one, or you just like a good book, I would recommend Good Grief. I really recommend it for those of you that like a good food fight.

Great book report, thanks. I'll recommend it to my FD Chaplain. He may see an opportunity to suggest it. Heck, I know people struggling with these thigs too, so I might as well.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I loved this book as well. She's got a new book that just came out that I'm anxious to read - it's called 'Happiness Sold Separately'
