I live acroos the street from Greenville/Watson and tonight
around 6:30pm the ALLEN SWAT team raided a house.
Anyone know what happened?

Still no one knows what happened? Guess we'll have to wait of the Allen American or whatever they are calling the weekly now. No wait this happened in Allen maybe they won't have anything about it in there. (Sarcasm for those who don't know)

Well since it is an open and ongoing case I won't say to much other than it was for the same reason 99% of the houses that get "raided" by the SWAT team get "raided" for. Refer to this post.

Well guys I was right NOTHING in the paper!!! Calling out the APD SWAT is so common that it no longer makes the news??? (sarcasm again folks!)

I'm guessing you have "inside" info? Or is this just your guess like it was mine? It could have been domestic situation also. OR... This was a test of our emergance response system.

I know a few agencies that keep a low profile (reporting) about some operations. Obviously some people will observe these operations and be curious. I always like to know also. Perhaps it was a burglary ring, identity theft ring, or a drug raid? It isn't likely it was a lab, as this would get a bigger response typically. All that, and we still don't know.

Thursday's Allen Paper stated that they raided this home on Wednesday, however I am the one that posted this and it happened Tuesday because I live across the street! They said that neighbors had tipped them off to suspicious activity in the home and when they raided the home with a Warrant they found drugs and arrested 3 men, two 40+ year old men and a 17 year old which had drugs on him. WOW - IT HITS CLOSER TO HOME more than I wish it would!
Watching this go down on Tuesday evening was like watching a live showing of DALLAS SWAT or COPS! Really kind of eary feeling. Glad our COPS are protecting us, but to watch something like that live without knowing what is going on is wild!

You want to talk about a weird feeling, over the Christmas break I went to the high school where I teach; I was alarmed to discover the local SWAT working out their site specific battle drills while the building was empty. They were all decked out in thier ninja suits, very strange. I know it's a good thing to be prepared but it's just weird knowing they are not preparing for IF, but WHEN it happens at my workplace.

I am just glad someone called the police when they noticed the suspicious activity. I used to live over in that neighborhood and know many people who still live there. I hate to hear there is that type of activity going on, but very glad the police got the bad guys. And, I hope that 17 year old gets his life straightened out.
