From personal experience, if you travel at all go with a company which has very broad coverage. I have Cingular wireless and almost always have coverage. My husband has T-Mobile. His coverage is decidedly spotty. (I am particularly sensitive on this subject as we had a family emergency this week and I couldn't get hold of him).
