An update: I took 5 boxes to DFW Shredding in Plano (behind Carmax). It's in a storage place and they are around the back. You pull up, they take each box and dump it in their bin (yes! got to keep the boxes) and then you watch while they move it to the shredder truck. Then up it goes and is shredded. The best part? You can watch it - the view is from the inside of the truck so you can see the bin attach, see the bin raise and dump, then watch as it is being shredded. 5 boxes took maybe 2-3 minutes. It was $30 well spent to get rid of stuff from the 70's, 80's and 90's - financial type stuff. Now my attic is empty and I have 5 extra boxes to pack other stuff in.
