It can be sweet as long as it doesn't stop raining again, but if it keeps raining why would you water? I think conserving water is a good thing.

You silly! Don't you know that the only way to make it rain is to actually water? I've been watching everything that's been coming towards us on the radar today disappear before it gets here, so I am about to go out and water my drooping plants. Let's see if it works...

Drooping plants? You sure it isn't your imagination? The ground is so saturated your plants should have water for the next 2 or 3 weeks without any more.

The plants in the flowerbed have been fine, but my vegetables and herbs out back are al in pots. Some of the smaller pots got pretty dry because they haven't gotten water in a few days. The basil especially was really droopy.

You should be watering your container plants once a day and twice a day when it gets really hot. Fertilize them with diluted liquid fertilizer (diluted to half strength) once a week.

Wow! I'm SO glad to hear the restrictions have eased up. Does anyone know why the new plan prohibits watering between midnight and 4 a.m.? Seems like this would be the optimum time to run sprinkler systems.

I like the idea of being able to wash my car at my house.

July 1st is when you can water twice a week. You can wash your car now, Ms. Alyce!
