Attended last course on Sustainable Landscaping. We were told that the last rains provided about 3% increase in water, which brought Lake Lavon to about 51%. (Hope my memory is right.) She also mentioned Lake Chandler but don't remember stats.
We should consider ourselves lucky since I was reading that
- some small communities in west TX are out of water
- Wichita Falls is at about 25% full
- Austin and surrounding cities are at about 36% full
Oh, it will be at least 2 weeks, maybe more, before Texoma pipeline comes online, testing in progress. Last stats I saw was Texoma is 6 ft down, so if we pull water from it, that means it will be down more and we're also pulling water away from surrounding communities.

Thanks for that information. It is good to know that the pipeline from Texoma is almost done.

They're going to let us get water out of Texoma? Zebra mussels and all? Interesting!

They have already found the zebra mussels in Lavon Lake. Plus, the pipeline from Texoma is being routed to the water treatment plant in Wylie before the water is dumped in to Lavon Lake.

I don't know a thing about the process - but $311,000,000 to build that pipeline. Wow.

Too bad modern society doesn't see much value in volunteering anymore like they did in the 70s to build a pipeline to save Olney, Texas from drying up ...

But then, Texoma to Lavon is a long, long way.
Sad to see they're facing even more dire situation today as the water supply is now even lower than it was then.
