I wasnt sure where to post, but I am a first time mommy (due in June) and I need recommendations for a daycare in Allen for a newborn, along with a pediatrician in Allen. I prefer the daycare to be in East Allen, if possible.
Please PM me with the good and bad so I can make a more educated decision for my little one to-be. Thanks!

Dr. Molton at Texas Presb. is excellent.
We have a 5 month old at Goddard School and we love it!

I have a friend who is currently looking for another baby to watch at her house. She is a wonderful person and has worked with children all her life- at day cares and through her home business. She currently watches one other child. If you would like her email and info, just email me [email protected] ...she is in East Allen right off Allen Heights south of Main.

Melony at Children's Light house was really good with babies...but the older classes were terrible...we finally went with a nanny but you have to be really careful cause there are some wacko people out there. Primrose always gets good reviews. Check out http://www.dfps.state.tx.us/Child_Care/Search_Texa ...

When we were expecting our first baby I started asking all the OB doctors and nurses who they took their kids to. My thought process was my wife's doctor took her kids to them then they must be pretty good. Over three years and another child later I have to agree that I feel we have one of the best doctors for our children. His name is Dr. Chad Guetersloh "Dr. G." and his is part of Centennial Pediatrics on the corner of Coit Road and 121. My kids, even though they get shots there, love going to see Dr. G!

Knowledge Beginnnings. There is a baby in the infant care that I always see and he is always happy as can be...and the care taker is constantly playing with him.

We were originally against daycare and went with au-pairs. After a while it became apparent he wasn't getting the intellectual and social stimulation needed by such one-on-one interaction so we decided to look at several daycare centers. After visiting Primrose we knew we had to place him there. My only regret was that we didn't do it sooner.
The school is well worth the money. For example, at his 3-year checkup the doc wanted to test his knowledge of shapes and drew a sloppy circle and he responded "oval" (how many kids know that). He can even count to 20.
We work with him on a lot of things but I have to credit a much of his knowledge with the caring teachers at Primrose.

We have a 13 month old and use Raintree Pediatrics...we see Amber Holifield, P.A. and LOVE the care and attention she gives our son and our concerns. She has been willing to research and confirm specific issues for us as well as placing consulting calls to specialists.

Are you open to in-home childcare?
My twin 3 year olds are about to move on to a pre-school, and their in-home childcare has been awesome for the last 2 years.
I'm not sure of what availability they will have, but if you want some more information, send me a message.
