My wife has an encounter with APD this morning.

The details do not matter.

Her encounter with an APD officer was positive, and demonstrated that the APD is on the ball!

Like I said, what happened is immaterial (it did not involve her) but kudos guys!

I dont mind paying taxes when we get good service like we get from the APD and AFD.

I also wish to thank the Allen PD that helped out my teenage daughter when her car broke down.

My first post so here goes:
I have lived in Allen for a long time and have had many contacts with the APD; traffic accidents, domestics at my house (he is since gone), and 3 boys that have been in minor trouble. As with all large organizations there is a wide range of talent. As a whole all of my dealings have been great. A couple of weeks ago there was an arrest in my neighborhood involving some individuals breaking into cars. The APD was professional and handled things quickly. When a Sergeant Wittman arrived one of the officers said to a suspect "my sergeant is here, you are in trouble now". It was the same sergeant that had been in my house on numerous occasions. He was always fair and explained everything fully, and never left until everything was resolved. Kudos to the APD for having professional officers and supervisors like Mr. Wittman. He's not bad on the eyes either...just saying.

"my sergeant is here, you are in trouble now".

Pretty much cancels out this:

"Kudos to the APD for having professional officers and supervisors"

and the whole thing is pretty much ruined when it ends with:

"He's not bad on the eyes either...just saying."

Another "Well done."

My wife walks the doggies early, early, in the morning. this morning a APD car drove by.

He seems to have noted her, and drove around the area, seemingly to keep a distant (and protective) eye on my wife.

As she came near home, he drove by and gave her a big wave.

Love the APD or hate them, this is what cops ought to be doing.................keeping an eye on folks...protect and defend you know

GOOD JOB GUYS!

You'd be surprised how many of those things are done on a daily basis by APD that go unnoticed. Our police do a very good job and I know I'm thankful for all they do.
