 Tuesday, November 3 is Election Day in Texas.
Although this is definitely an off year, there are 11 propositions on the statewide ballot that will be decided tomorrow. A number of the propositions deal with appraisal rules and property owners' rights and there is one on research funding for universities.
One source of information is the Voters Guide provided by the Texas League of Women Voters which contains a plain language summary of each proposition as well as a brief summary of the "for" and "against" positions on each. The guide is available online:

If you have not already early voted, please consider taking time to review these issues and cast your ballot tomorrow.
(Voting hint - it is perfectly legal to take your own notes into the voting booth. Generally on a ballot like this I have a small piece of paper with the proposition numbers and "yes" or "no" beside each. Just don't leave it behind.)
