My daughter needs to take some type of authentic German food to share with her class at school. Instead of just buying something ready-made, I thought it would be fun to make something together.
Does anyone have recipes for authentic German cookies or cakes or any food that she could easily take to school with her?

I sent you a pt, but will ask here if you would like to borrow my German cookbook. It has some authentic German dessert recipes. Just let me know.

I haven't seen a response from you so I'm assuming your daughter found a good recipe?

Thanks for the offer, Denise. An unexpected health issue came up right after I read your PT & I forgot to reply, sorry. Because of this, Daughter & I didn't get to make anything. She just got something from Kroger instead. Disappointing.

I was going to suggest making a yule log. It is kind of involved with having to roll up the sheet cake with the filling, etc. then making the frosting look like bark by texturing, but it is really good. I'm sorry you didn't get to make something with her and I hope everyone is all right now.

saurkraut, brauts, and pork chops would suffice
