Does anyone have their menu planned for Christmas? My family is doing things a little different this year. The boys are interested in helping prepare the meal so here is what we're doing:
Ham - mom
Cheesy Beans - youngest son (11)
Deviled Eggs - - middle son (13)
Dessert (still undecided as to what he will make) - oldest son (15)
Brown and serve rolls - husband - seems like someone lucked out here . . . or he may be in charge of opening the bottles of his home brew beer - for the adults only, of course.
It should be a lot of fun having everyone help prepare dinner and it sure does make it easier on me! I'm really looking forward to it! We are also planning on having family and friends come over too, so I'm sure we'll have more side dishes.

Last year we got Market Street's turkey dinner meal and it was delicious. I'm thinking about doing that again this year because it was so easy and, honestly, tasted better what my mom and I can cook ourselves. The cost wasn't that much more than if we had bought all the ingredients and cooked it ourselves. Plus, there was so much food for us 6 people that we had plenty of leftovers too. I highly recommend it!

Just the 4 of us as usual. Hubby will find a some type of race to be in, the kids will sleep in and I will be making Christmas dinner.
My daughter's very favorite meal is one that includes a HoneyBake ham so we will do our traditional journey to the Honeybake ham store and stand in a long line as it loops around the corner a few days before Christmas.
We have had many great conversations with people when we stand in line. It usually takes 1/2 hour to 1 hour. People are festive and jovial and everyone is joking and telling about their holiday traditions.
So it will be:
Honeybake ham
Hash brown casserole
Green bean casserole
Corn
Rolls
Some kind of pie
