My daughter was putting Windows 7 on her laptop which was plugged in to the wall. (battery pack was low) About midway through the process her 2 cats were running around and got tangle in the power cord and the system shut off. She now says she doesn't have Vista any more and can't cvontinue to put Windows 7 on her computer.
Is there any way to salvage this or are we just out of luck. I told her to take it to Roddy's but thought I would ask the experts here as well.

I would think you could boot on the Windows 7 CD and restart the build/installation.
Pup has left the building.

Actually we ended up taking it to Rodi. He explained that the Vista had been deleted during the partial loading of Windows 7. So he re-installed Vista, put in Windows 7 and improved the battery pack. $82.00. We initially looked at buying Vista when we bought Windows 7 at Walmart. Vista was $79.00 but then we found out our daughter already had it so for $82.00 for Rodi to do all that, it was a real bargain.
Great guy. He even offered us a cup of tea when we were there.
Sorry I am lax on getting my reply in here. Just picked up the computer yesterday. Thanks for asking and also for the help.

Actually, he did ask how we heard of them and I told him from allen on line. I also told him that everyone there speaks very highly of him and his business.
