Chuck, Doctor Who, Fringe, LOST, The Sarah Jane Adventures + more.
Chuck Jan 10th
Fringe Jan 11th
Doctor Who Spring?
Sarah Jane Soon?
They only say Sarah Jane is coming back for a forth season. Although season three has been broadcast in England, it has not made it here yet (unless I missed it)

My husband likes to watch shows/movies on Sci-Fi, but my boys really enjoy Ghost Hunters.
I know my husband is watching that channel when I walk into the room and see some creature ripping off an arm or leg, screams, people shooting at a big creature, etc. I just keep on walking . . .

Unfortunately SyFy (that is what Sci-Fi has renamed itself) seems to have migrated to ghosts, scary, and reality shows instead of Science Fiction which it started out as. Since Battlestar Galactica ended I have no use for that network.

They still have some good shows:
Warehouse 13 is great
Eureka is great (but awful short seasons)
Outer Space Astronauts is stupidly funny (in a dumb & dumber way)
Sanctuary is good
Stargate Universe is okay (Stargate Atlantis was better)
I use to watch Doctor Who on SyFy before BBC America started carrying it and bumped SyFy about a year behind.
That ghost stuff has a huge following. I don't watch it but my daughter and several other people I know don't miss an episode.

I've never been able to get into any of the Stargate shows, they just never clicked for me. I can say the same thing about Eureka, although it seemed like an interesting premiss.
I've heard good things about Warehouse 13 and I suppose I should give it a try too (hopefully it is not one of those shows where you are lost unless you catch it from the begining)
But I've never heard about Outer Space Astronauts or Sanctuary. Could you give a short description?

Yeah, the Stargate Atlantis is the only Stargate I got into. It even got better when they added Jewel Staite (Kaylee from Firefly)...but I digress.
You should give Warehouse 13 a try. You can figure it out without seeing all the episodes. Basically they go around collecting weird artifacts that are causing trouble in the world. Although, the season finale kind of left everyone dead...or so it seemed.
Sanctuary will not be for everyone. I like it but don't love it. They go around collecting and protecting abnormal creatures that are in trouble (or causing trouble) and giving them "sanctuary" at their place.
Outer Space Astronauts is just stupid...but I like it. It's a cartoon except they use real peoples heads. Kind of like Clutch Cargo used real lips (boy, I'm dating myself now). Here's a link to their SyFy page.

Not to mention the *ahem* high-quality acting in the SyFy original movies.

The bad acting never really bothered me too much so long as they had enjoyable writing. (I guess that is why I always liked Dr. Who)
I guess I need to put Warehouse 13 on my DVR. But after reading Michael's description of Sanctuary, I'll have to pass on that. Sounds too much like one of the monster shows that turned me off from SyFy to start off with. The closest thing to that which I'll watch is something like that short lived series The Dresden Files or the BBC America series Being Human.
Now I do remember seeing previews for Outer Space Astronauts. It looks like something which should be on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim. I might give that a try too. It might have my twisted sense of humor.

You may want to check out Caprica. It's suppose to be a prequel to Battlestar Galactica. Back when they were messing around with Artificial Intelligence and robots. I think this is where the Cylons came from. I think it starts Jan. 22.

I got the Caprica DVD and watched it a while back. Different from Galactica, but good stuff. Looking forward to the rest of the series.

Has anyone heard when Warehouse 13 is coming back?

It's coming back in the summer. Last year it started in early August (I think). So it may start again about the same time.
