Here you go Michael

La Finca Chiquita (The Little Ranch House), a Tex-Mex Restaurant, is coming to Allen this spring. We will be located in Downtown Allen's old Post Office located at 107 N Butler Dr (just 2 blocks East of the main post office)

My parents are the founders of La Finca Mexican Restaurant, formerly located on the corner of Bethany and Hwy 75. After the closing of the restaurant on June 29th, 2009, my parents decided to focus on the original La Finca in Gilmer, TX.

My wife and I have taken a page from my parents' decision and are going back to our roots and bringing La Finca Chiquita (LFC) to Allen. Just as my parents did in 1987 with the original La Finca, LFC will be an intimate, 13-table, hole-in-the-wall style TEX-MEX restaurant. Those familiar with my parents' restaurant will find some of their long-time favorites on our trimmed down menu. You can also expect to find chef specials introduced throughout the year.

Preparing freshly made entrées from high quality ingredients, providing a personal & comfortable atmosphere, and playing an active role in the community are what we are committed to.
We are really excited to be coming back to Allen in this way and look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones!

Hasta Luego!

Due to on-going building repairs, we are required to postpone our opening date to April 9th. We apologize for the postponement. Please be assured, we are working hard everyday to bring La Finca Chiquita to Allen.

Warmest regards,

Cannot wait to try your food, we just moved here a year ago, so from the sounds of it we have missed out.

By the way, I have really found this forum useful for finding places like yours. Considering the success you have had generating buzz on here so far, maybe think about joining the ranks of the sponsor restaurants.

They opened yesterday. Went there for lunch today. Pretty good. A scaled down version of the old place. I'll be back again.

My wife and I went today (Sunday) for lunch. She ordered a sour cream chicken enchilada and I tried the Tacos a la Mexicana. Both were very good. Everything was fresh and well prepared. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly. We'll be going back for sure.

Forgot to mention that they had a good crowd in there too. Nice to see.

Do they have a website with a menu?

Strike that, found it.

http://www.mychiquita.com/

Still need an online menu.
Don't blame me, I didn't vote for him.

Just got back from dinner there with the family, the food was very good and the service was very friendly and attentive. Very kid friendly. Ocsar does a great job of making everyone feel welcome. We will be back it's great to have another good local option to support.

The place was pretty busy for a Tuesday night, probably about 7 tables with patrons.

We did take-out tonight and I have to agree with all the good reviews. The fajitas were great and the shrimp quesadilla was awesome. Next up will be a dine in trip!
