Your right. I guess it starts tomorrow. I had checked for tonight. The 10:30 tonight is still $17.50. Let's rush out and save money!

Bummer!! Loved paying $8 for the Artisan Pizza on Half Price Tuesdays. Now I see that the new "Members Get More Tuesdays" prices for the Artisan Pizza is $10.

I wonder how well business will be in the fall months of Sept - Oct when they don't have the summer movies to drive business.

I stand by my prediction that after an initial flurry of activity this place will struggle mightily.

In 2006 I would have thought that too - the whole concept is pretty crazy. $20 movie tickets??

Figures, they raise the prices the day before we had plans to go. I wasn't looking forward to it to begin with. I've already gone twice (one mock and one paid) and wasn't satisfied either trip. Didn't plan on ever going again, but we have family in town that have been dying to try it even though we pushed against it.

I agree with LCR, after about a year and everybody has gone through the "I want to try a luxurious theater" phase, I think it will be tough to keep the doors open. Especially when they keep raising prices and the food is outrageously expensive and doesn't meet up to Cheddars quality.

That is some rediculously high standards you are trying to hold GCC to. I mean really, would you expect all hotels to live up the enormously high standards of a La Quinta, or every car to be as smooth as a Ford Focus? I think not.

I think what was meant was that GCC isn't even as good as Cheddars (not meaning Cheddars is high quality).

I think that was clear, but I guess my joke was not. Oh well.

What does that even mean? I stopped raising chickens in my backyard years ago.

I just got the email from Gold Class and on the bottom of the email it says "Summer Member Pricing" and list the new prices.

So maybe this is just a temporary price increase and perhaps they will go back to the old pricing after the summer movie season.

It is for the summer. I got the impression they are still figuring out the perfect price to be at nationally. The place seemed to have decent business even with the higher ticket prices.

By the way, we enjoyed Wylands. The bartenders were great. Good place for happy hour and the bar is huge (two bars actually).

Awesome!! Thanks for the info. I probably won't be back this summer because there isn't much left that I want to see other than Inception but I'll catch that in IMAX but I do see myself going maybe once or twice during the Holidays for some adult fare.

I hope to catch Wyland's at some point but I'm waiting to see a menu posted.

I am looking forward to trying Cyclone Anaya. I love Tex Mex so I'm always looking forward to trying new Tex Mex.

I don't really understand all the negativity about this place. If you think the cost to value ratio is too low for you, don't go, but to my wife and I, we are really happy with the place. Having a little one makes two things hard to find, one of them the time to watch movies that we want to watch, and the second being time away with just the two of us. GCC covers both of these. Sure the food may be a bit pricey given the quality, and everything isn't perfect. But really, when we go to see a movie together, we want to be able to relax, and not be worried about getting a seat in a crowded theater, and then having to deal with immature kids and general scumbaggery that often accompanies movie theaters.

Instead, we get to sit in comfortable seats, have decent food and drinks, and have a much more intimate setting than being in any of the other theaters in the area. Truth is my wife usually falls asleep halfway through the movie, but that is the great part about it, the time away and the relaxation is well worth the additional price to us. Instead of looking at it as $20-30 tickets, we look at it as, an additional $20-40 between the two of us to have a great night instead of a potential nightmare.
