Consider and act upon presentation of petition from registered voters hereby petitioning the City of Frisco to submit to the voters a referendum to revoke the authorization to sell the remaining $16.4 million in bonds for the Arts of Collin County, such referendum to be on the ballot at the general election on November 2, 2010.

This may actually be a good thing. If the referendum fails then the message will have been sent that the voters are behind the project and maybe Frisco will quit dragging their feet. If it passes the project is likely dead and Allen and Plano can get on with things with being obstructed by Frisco.

Frisco City Council took no action on the petition, but ONLY because it fell outside the 90 day window from an upcomming election. I suspect the petition will be brought up again for councils consideration in August with the intent of getting a revote ballot item in for November.
