The Texas Stars have made the finals of the Calder Cup which starts this coming Thursday, June 3rd in Hershey PA.
Games 3, 4 and 5 will be in Austin (Cedar Park)
Wishing the best of luck to our guys, for those who might not know, the Texas Stars are the AAA club for the Dallas Stars NHL team, and the Allen American's are the AA club.
Jamie Benn, who is a rising "star" is the younger brother of our Jordie Benn, and has been "loaned out" by our major league team to help out with their quest for the AHL championship.
Not sure if we'll see any American's playing, but as well as we did in the 2009-2010 season, and as well as the Texas Stars have been playing, I wouldn't be surprised if both clubs have players getting "called up" to the next step up on the ladder to the majors.
