Anyone have a recommendation for a plumber? Just finished retiling our master bath and running into problems with resetting the toilet.

We have used North Star Plumbing 3 times. They also advertise here. Very pleased with them.

What problem are you having?

Screws holding the closet flange have rusted. One broke, and two aren't grabbing wood anymore. I'm adding a spacer to elevate the flange above the new tile, and don't think I'll be able to get a good leakfree seal without at least 4 screws holding the flange to the subfloor.

Sounds like you have pier and beam, if so you may need to get under the house and under where the screws hold down the flange, put a 2x4 (maybe a foot long) on each side of the pipe and put 4 long screws (6 inch) into the flange and through the floor into the 2x4"s.

No, it's a second floor, no access from below. I've got a plumber coming to look at it tomorrow, may be an easy repair. Thanks all!

You could just drill new holes into the old flange and then screws through those holes into the floor.

I had to pull up 2X3 feet of floor in my BIL house to fix the same issue. Are you sure the floor is stable enough to support tile?
