Ok, that title was a bit over the top, but having grown up on San Francisco sourdough bread, I've been extremely disappointed at the selection in these parts until now. I recently found that Market St is offering an organic sourdough loaf that not only tastes good, but it's like a local home bakery style bread with literally four ingredients. I even asked for confirmation when I read it. Imagine, bread without unnecessary oils, colors, preservatives or artificial anything.
Can you get fat from homegrown tomato sandwiches on real sourdough bread? I hope not, I'm eating them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Me, too! The best SF sour dough bread came in unsealed, open-ended bags so the crust got nice and hard (sanitary issues aside!). Parisian, Colombo, etc.! Plus all the artisan bakeries that opened up later on. Headed to Market Street tomorrow!!

They bake the bread in their bakery onsite. You'll find it with all the fresh bread. It comes in a large round that they'll run through the slicer for you.
