Again, we have an albeit, (extreme) right group that believes it is above the laws of the land and who's numbers have grown significantly since the election of our first African American President. These people and squatting in foreclosed homes, refusing to pay state and federal taxes yet they still wish to live in our semi-organized, civilized society. These people are extreme gun advocates who are not afraid to kill police if confronted. I'm curious how we as a country intend to deal with groups like this if their population continues to grow. Sometimes it just seems like human kind needs to flush the toilet on itself and start over, again.

Where's the hard evidence that these yahoos are "right wing?" I didn't see it in the articles. Seems to me that they are anti-government. I don't think any from the GOP or Dems are anti-government, therefore they don't fit either left or right, IMO.

Maybe you didn't mean it this way but you make it sound like a contest to find more whack jobs on the left than on the right. Can we just agree that there are crazies on the extremes of both sides of the political fence.
With that in mind however, the quoted data is from 20 years ago. I'm no sociologist but it appears that for whatever reason leftist extremism is on the decline (as evidenced by the paper mgrayer linked) and right wing extremism is on the rise.
From the linked paper:
"The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) reports that although leftist-oriented extremist
groups posed the predominate domestic terrorism threat over the past three decades,
right-wing extremist groups that adhere to antigovernment and racist ideologies are the
increasing concern today (Federal Bureau of Investigation, 1995)."
The lesson I take from this paper is that we can't ignore leftist crazies because they are still out there but there is increasing concern about right wing crazies. Anti government groups are typically identified as "right-wing" so the OP was not completely out of line in his original description.

Left wing anarchists are not in short supply around San Francisco. They aren't above rioting and burning police cars. (see Battle of Seattle and You Say You Want an Insurection) I wouldn't call these guys right wing.
