Pull into Cheddars parking lot from Stacy, and you can park in the empty lot between Cheddars and In-n-out

I tried it last weekend and really enjoyed the burger. Very fresh.
I thought the fries were pretty bad. I will probably get animal style or have them cook them differently next time.

The burgers at In N Out are good.
A Whataburger with cheese, grilled onions, and grilled jalapenos is hard to beat.
The bun at In N Out may be better.

the fam and i went tonight for dinner. burger wasn't bad, fries (light well) left a lot to be desired. we will go back at some point... but the 20 minute wait wasn't worth it. My kids talked me into going tonight but we won't be back until the hype cools off. good news for the area though. lots of money being spent here in allen.

Went tonight to give it a try. Walked in by 9, ordered, ate and walked out at 9:15. The double double was great and the fries were better than I thought they would be after all the negative posts.

Went again today, and I have now confirmed to myself that no matter what I do, the fries are still not good. Between my girlfriend and my orders, I have tried regular, well done, light, and cheese fries and they are all gross. Wish there was some other side I could substitute for.

I think I may have found the problem with In N Out’s French Fries. I agree they have a different taste that might be a bit off-putting, gross, and leave a lot to be desired. Their fries are potato prepared in 100% trans-fat free, cholesterol-free vegetable oil.
Unfortunately they do not contain potatoes coated with vegetable oil (partially hydrogenated soybean oil, natural beef flavor (wheat and milk derivatives)*, citric acid (preservative), dextrose, sodium acid pyrophosphate (maintain color), dimethylpolysiloxane (antifoaming agent)), salt. Unfortunately they are not prepared in vegetable oil (may contain one of the following: Canola oil, corn oil, soybean oil, hydrogenated soybean oil, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, partially hydrogenated corn oil with TBHQ and citric acid added to preserve freshness), dimethylpolysiloxane added as an antifoaming agent). *CONTAINS: WHEAT AND MILK (Natural beef flavor contains hydrolyzed wheat and hydrolyzed milk as starting ingredients.)
Unfortunately they are not cooked in the same oil as fish, chicken, chips, frozen fruit pies and anything else that might be in the kitchen.
Unfortunately they taste like potatoes, nothing more than potatoes, and that is disgusting.

This place is on my list of places to try, but it's still too crowded for me. This hasn't kept me from coming up with two nicknames so far:
- Stand In Line Burger
- In & Out Hotdog

So I made it by the other night and again tonight. The burger is very good, particularly for how inexpensive it is. I still think that Five Guys serves up a tastier burger. With the fries, I can only stand them well done and even then they are little more than ketchup transport devices. I prefer fries like what you can get at R+D Kitchen or The Porch.
I went inside and did not have to wait to place my order on either visit. Seating is an issue, primarily because there are a lot of people who want to sit at their table while waiting on their food. I understand that, particularly with kids, but it is a bit disappointing when you are standing there with your food getting cold while someone sits there trying to decide what to order.

Sorry but I make fries at home all the time and I've never made a batch as bad as the ones we ate at In & Out.

I went on a lunch rush. Ordered, waited for food, ate, and was out the door in about twenty minutes. I would say that is about on pace for any fast food. If you want faster than that you'll have to go at 11:00pm on a weekday.

I did the exact same thing. Went during the lunch rush, car line was waaay long, people everywhere coming and going, inside was crowded. But when I got to the line inside there were 3 employees taking orders with only 3 people in front of me. I was "in & out" in about 12 minutes... sat in my truck and enjoyed that burger I grew up with.

I'm dreading when the one on 635 and Coit opens--the access road is already down to one lane because of the LBJ expansion project. If they get anywhere near the crowds we've had here and in Frisco, that location will definitely be "In and Stuck" Burger!

I went by In and Out in Dallas on Thursday and there were only about 10 people there. Nothing like the Allen grand opening.

Everyone already went to Allen or Frisco for their fix.
That being said, I'm surprised it was such a low-key opening. Couple that with the relatively light crowd at the Allen location now and it makes you wonder if they'll really do well once the novelty full wears off...lots of competition out there. Probably an overreaction, but it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.

Go by the one in Frisco quite a bit because it's near where I work. I don't understand anyone standing in a long line for a fast food burger. It's actually pretty scary.
