So I'm curious... what does everybody think of it? I make sure to sit and watch every Sunday because of my love for the genre, but I've yet to make up my mind. What does everybody think?

I LOVE the show. It's by far, the best story in the zombie genre ever made. It's not at all schlocky, campy or silly but the focus is more on the survival of those still living in a post-apocalyptic world. The zombies are done very well and it treats the story and the viewers, with respect. It's a lot more like 28 Days Later than any of the Romero zombie movies, which have increasingly gotten worse. I'm also really looking forward to seeing World War Z come to the big screen in 2012, if things stay on track.

I've also noticed the music is very similar to that in 28 Days Later.. I really enjoy it!

I have seen commercials on this, it is a series?
If I start watching it now, how far behind would I be and what channel is it on?
Thanks.

There are two episodes left in the season, but there have only been 4 shows so far I believe. It's on at AMC at 9:00 pm every sunday. Very fun show. They have been repeating the previous shows also.

Yes, you can catch the shows on AMC as they do keep repeating them which is a good thing. The show has really taken off and has been signed on for a 13 episode, 2nd season after this first season of 6 episodes is done. It's adadpted from an ongoing graphic novel series of the same name, so there's plenty of material for it to use.
If you guys like zombies like I do, I can also highly recommend one of the best podcasts out there called "We're Alive". It's an old school style radio drama podcast about a small group of survivors after the zombie apocalypse. Very well done, excellent voice acting and production qualities that are like the old radio drama shows. Each episode is like 12-20 minutes, very entertaining an a bunch of episodes done over the past couple of years.

I've been enjoying the show as well. Not to get OT but Zombieland is a great dark comedy send up of zombie movies.

Yea, Zombieland was fun as was Shaun of the Dead. I like those too for laughs but I've been wanting something like Walking Dead for a long time, a 'serious' zombie movie/show.

I was wondering why anyone in the world would like a TV series zombie show. Seemed silly to me. So I watched it.
I'm hooked.
Now I need to catch up. Since they've done the season finale, I assume they'll start running it from the beginning again?

They ran the entire 6 episode series Sunday night prior to the season finale. I'd check their listings and see when they plan on airing it again, which I'm sure will be pretty regular given the huge popularity of the show.
On its face, a zombie show does sound stupid but this is most definitely not your standard zombie story.
