I've got a 9th grader that needs additional tutoring in Biology.

If you don't have any luck here, I have a list of biology tutors from Collin College. My son attended the one offered there for free but some of the tutors offered off-sight tutoring for a price. I think one even holds class once a week at a local library.
Even though it is college level, they have to know the basics I would think. Either this or maybe they can point you in another direction to get someone on your child's level.

The high school has a group of peer tutors that you can ask for assistance. These students are honor students and excel at the subjects they tutor. Students seem to do very well learning from their peers and the program has been very successful. I cannot remember who you can contact but I'll check tomorrow when I go back to school and post the information then.

These guys provide tutors for all grades and the guys are very good in their respective field.
