Anyone used garlic spreads?
I like them - combine with butter and nuke and then anoint some bread and which makes a great toast.
Can't seem to find the brands that I've used.
Lawry's garlic spread or Pure Base. The Pure base had a recall earlier last year.
If anyone out there shopping the aisles and comes across either brands, please give a shout out. Thanks

Are they dried powders, refrigerated, or in jars?
Sounds interesting.

I think they're sold with the spices? In most stores that is on the aisle with all the baking products.

I've looked on all the aisle where they used to be. Nadda there no more. That is why I was asking.
csquare-
it is a buttery paste
here is a picture of Lowry's

Actually is quite a fast way to make garlic bread - melt with butter in the micorwave and then brush on bread and grate cheese- I even use older breads or hamburger buns and the scissor in to strips.
It keeps in pantry forever until opened then in the fridge until used up which can take a while.
Keep your eyes open.

It might be a factory problem. I looked on amazon.com and it said it was out of stock. They had a link to click on to be notified when it was back in stock.

They have the Lawry's garlic spread at Tom Thumb. They had two baskets full of it in the bakery area, where they have the baskets of bagged rolls.

Thank you so much. Found it today where you said it was. I got me enough to last for awhile.

Glad I could help! It was a total coincidence, because I don't usually look at all the bakery stuff but since my husband went with me yesterday we just had to look at everything. He pointed the garlic spread out not knowing anything aboutbeing on the lookout for it.
