I am looking to replace our flooring in the near future. I'm not really in the mood to do it myself but I will if I can't find anyone reasonable priced. With that said, please recommend some flooring people for both carpet (installation and material) and laminate (installation and material).

Do NOT use Peek's!

A plus floors did a good job at a fair price for us.

I bought several thousand dollars worth of wood that they installed using the wrong glue. They totally disregarded the installation instructions so now instead of a 25 year warranty from Kahrs I have ZERO warranty. The "crew" also beat the stink out of several of the boards causing splintering and in more than one place the tongues of the planks are visible. The trim work was terrible and they hacked up a piece of $90 transition. I can send you pictures in an e-mail that show several more hacks. I think Peek's bought Coker so I would think they employ the same set of sub par subs.

If they are still around, do not use Surplus Floors Outlet. To make a long story short, all the tile started coming up a couple months after they installed it. Gave me the run around about getting it fixed, finally stopped responding to me. I filed complaint with BBB. They gave the BBB a run around. BBB and myself tried to get a response numerous time. Was told we were going to go to litigation. Checked back to find out when and found out the company filed bankruptcy so we are out of luck.

Look them up on the BBB.

Didn't SFO just change their name and remain in business?

No that's a different company but they took over their locations. I had SFO install carpet and I thought they did a great job but i just recently had to have the carpet they installed re-stretched. I was not a happy camper!
