That is all.
A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed next week.

Hrmmm.

I am a big believer in the 2nd amendment (and the rest of them), but I also believe that organizations have a right to set the ground rules for their organizations--that if an organization does not want guns in their building, for example, the durn government has not the right to shove the .357 figuratively down their collective throats.

If one takes Virginia Tech (a seeming anomoly) out of the equasion, one finds that the primary victim of violence on campus are professors and staff. Most of this violence, statistically speaking, is commited by graduate students.

I think this whole business makes campus' less safe and is a solution in search of a problem.

Good politics, though, for Perry and his crowd.

Jan Brewer is awesome! We need to be following her lead on a LOT of issues!
I don't suffer from insanity. I enjoy every minute of it!

Huh? You are or you are not.

Private institutions CAN decide what they want. Public may not as they are paid for by us.

What? Where are you getting this? "Statistically speaking"? What statistics are you referring to? I've worked in the self defense industry for years and have never heard any of these "statistics".
It has nothing to do with Virginia Tech (which is not an anomoly). It has to do with being able to defend yourself against violence of ALL kinds. I grew up near UTA in Arlington and heard stories every single year about co-eds getting raped, mugged, stalked, etc.
Bad guys speak the language of violence. That is something that we get to defend ourselves against.

How are we "less safe" by being allowed to defend ourselves? To be fair, I'm a firearms instructor. I've have been hearing these arguments for years. When we were getting CHL's (Concealed Handgun Licenses) approved here in Texas, anti-gunners started screaming that there would be shoot-outs and riots in the streets over fender benders and parking spaces.....never happened.
Then they screamed when CHL's were being allowed into churches, businesses, hospitals, amusement parks, etc that mass shootings would become everyday news....never happened.

People fear what they don't understand. Come take a class with me. Having more people carrying concealed means your son and your daughter are safer. Period.
Thanks!

I will never buy the argument arming the public in more public places, makes for a safer public. Especially, since the people exposed to this arming are for the most part less than 22 years old. Yes, I know CHL's are for 21 and over, but that does not stop 18 to 20 year old kids from being exposed to guns on campus.

To compare armed adults to armed kids a few years out of high school is stupid at any level.
If CEO's increased their pay at the same rate as Average Americans
their pay would average $1,384,890 not $10,621,000

Then you'll need to change the laws...evidently, they're going against you, and the laws don't care what either of us think.
