ALLEN, TX—It’s time to wrangle up some Easter eggs with the Wranglers.
The team will be hosting an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, Apr. 23, 2011 in the Village at Allen at 3 p.m. Eggs will be scattered throughout the village for hunters under the age of 12. Treasure maps will be provided with specific highlighted clues of where these mysterious eggs may be found. Children bringing a minimum of five eggs to the Wranglers table in front of Allen Event Center at 5 p.m. will receive a free ticket to the Wranglers game that night.
The Wranglers are hosting the hunt in conjunction with their cancer awareness game. Representatives from Cure Search, an organization dedicated to fighting childhood cancer, will also participate in the Easter egg hunt. The Wranglers will debut their pink cancer awareness jerseys in their face off against the Wichita Wild at 7:05 p.m. A silent auction will be held for individuals wishing to purchase the jerseys with proceeds going to the American Cancer Society and Cure Search. The Wranglers are also donating a portion of their ticket sales to both organizations.
“Kids will be hunting for Easter eggs and we’ll help hunt for a cure for cancer,” team vice president John Harris said. “We want to honor individuals who are fighting the disease, but bring a little fun into it as well.”
Members of the LAW Dance team along with the Wrangler mascot Hoss will be on-site to guide hunters to the treasure. The hunt begins at 3 p.m. and will conclude at 5 p.m. with a balloon release ceremony honoring cancer survivors in front of Allen Event Center.
