I have heard a rumor that there was a pedophile arrested near Boone Elementary this morning. Apparently using a puppy to lure kids. Has anyone heard this?

As a middle-aged guy with a fairly cute little dog, that occasionally (not as often as my wife would advocate) takes a walk around the block, this story gives me the willies.
Kids I meet will fairly frequently ask to pet the dog, and I'm happy to allow it. The kids and the dog all enjoy the visit, but I sure hope I'm not being reported to the police as a pedophile.
The 99.999% chance is that this story had a perfectly harmless source. We need to be careful and observant, but please be very sure before you ruin some poor schmoe's life.

Since there has not been any official word I would chock this story up to an unfounded rumor. If you really want to know, if an official arrest were made there would be a record with the police department that should be public information.

No arrest that I've heard, but police were out again yesterday patrolling the trail behind Boon. Also, our HOA sent an email giving a heads up on an elderly balding man, on a bike, with a puppy and a camera, hanging out on the trail and "having questionable conversations with elementary-aged boys".
