This was an ok movie, but not nearly as 'spectacular' as it could have been.
True Green Lantern comic book fans will be disappointed in the character development and acting style of Ryan Reynolds. Although he does well in other movies, his 'one-liner' style of acting didn't yield well to the overall story line.
I read reviews before allowing the kids to see it to make sure it was family safe, and aside from two or three explicatives thrown in - it was. I would say it was good for age 7 and up. It does start with him getting out of bed and running out on a one night stand, so if you are sensitive to your kids seeing that kind of thing - be forewarned.
I give it a 6 out 10.

Agreed.
Expected and wanted more from it.
Although, I wouldn't fault Ryan Reynolds so much as the script and direction. If the script calls for a 'one-liner' the actor says a 'one-liner' and how he/she delivers it is up to the director.
