Need some suggestions. On Sunday I noticed the water was getting warm but not hot so I checked and the pilot lights were out on both water heaters. Got them restarted but this morning the water was only warm again. Checked the water heaters and the pilot lights were out again. Got them both restarted but the burner only kicked on for one of them. Just checked and both pilot lights are on, but the water still isn't getting hot. Any suggestions?

there was a thread about pilot lights recently. As for the pilot lights going out, if they are in the attic it could be this same problem:

Of course, I don't know anything about water heaters so I don't know if this would affect the burners, but maybe it's somewhere to start.

Thanks for the thread recap. I tried that and we have hot water again and the pilot lights have stayed on. Maybe it was just the build-up of pressure in the attice because of the 8,000 straight days of 100 degree weather :)
